George Henry (Harry) Wright was the son of George Wright and Mary Ann Evans.

Harry was born on Wednesday 14 May 1873.

Harry married Annie Sylvia Turnor on Saturday 24 June 1899 in St Michael's Church, Handsworth, Birmingham, Warwickshire.
The witnesses at the marriage were Benjamin Turnor and Amy Turner.
Harry was 26 years old and Annie was 26 years old when they married.

He had the following children from his marriage to Annie Sylvia Turnor:

- Sylvia Maud Audrey Wright

born on 17 October 1912 in Edgbaston, Birmingham, Warwickshire.

Harry was a Secretary to the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce.

Harry died when he was 56 years old, on Wednesday 15 May 1929.  

He was buried in 1929 in St Peter's Church, Harborne, Birmingham.

Harry was presented with an O.B.E. for his work in setting up the British Industries Fair for the Chamber of Commerce, which became the blueprint for the NEC, (National Exhibition Centre).
